Además, Daddy Yankee cantará su nuevo éxito, «Métele al perreo«, durante la gala de los Premios Billboard de la Música Latina, que tendrá lugar ese día en el Watsco Center de Coral Gables (Miami-Dade) y será transmitida en vivo por Telemundo, reseñó EFE.
El Premio Billboard Salón de la Fama se otorga a aquellos artistas que logran el reconocimiento mundial y trascienden las fronteras de géneros e idiomas.
Con más de tres décadas en la música urbana, Daddy Yankee es uno de los pioneros y máximo promotor del reguetón, un género que se convirtió en un fenómeno cultural e impulsó la popularidad de la música latina en todo el mundo, según un comunicado de Telemundo.
Cuenta con más de 60 millones de seguidores en las redes sociales y más de 7.000 millones de transmisiones, solo en los últimos 12 meses, en YouTube, donde se encuentra entre los Top 20 artistas globales.
Ha vendido más de 17 millones de álbumes, y posicionado 84 canciones en la lista de Hot Latin Songs, con siete llegando al número uno y 36 en el Top 10. En la lista de Latin Airplay tiene 73 títulos, incluyendo 24 números 1 y 42 Top 10.
