El veterano reguetonero puertorriqueño Daddy Yankee, autodenominado “El jefe” de dicho género urbano, logró ubicarse esta semana por vigésima cuarta vez en el primer puesto de la lista Latin Airplay de la revista Billboard, con su tema “Problema”.
Dicho sencillo, que alcanzó 50 millones de reproducciones en las plataformas de música digitales, también se colocó en el primer puesto en la lista de Latin Rhythm Charts de Billboard.
Daddy Yankee, igualmente, lanzó un video musical alternativo de “Problema”, exclusivo por Facebook, que cuenta ya con 45 millones de vistas en la página de Facebook del intérprete. Además, el sencillo marcó tendencia número 1 en la lista Latin Urban Songs de iTunes en Australia, Irlanda, Japón, Reino Unido, Italia, Eslovaquia, Arabia Saudí, Singapur, Rusia, Nueva Zelanda, Suiza, Países Bajos y Turquía.
Luego de “Problema”, Daddy Yankee presentó su nuevo sencillo, “El Pony”, inspirado en el tema “El Caballito”, del salsero boricua Ismael Rivera, publicado en 1957. Según dijo Daddy Yankee, la inspiración del tema “El Caballito” lo había utilizado en la canción “Machete”, incluido en su disco “Barrio Fino En Directo” (2005).
Daddy Yankee es uno de los artistas más populares y seguidos del mundo, con más de 60 millones de seguidores en sus redes sociales y más de 7.000 millones de reproducciones en el último año en YouTube, colocándose entre los 20 mejores artistas globales.
