La organización no gubernamental Control Ciudadano denunció este jueves 29 de julio que la militancia y el proselitismo político de efectivos de la Fuerza Armada Nacional es una realidad en Venezuela, situación que calificó como un “problema grave” que afecta la confianza en las instituciones y lesiona el estado de derecho.
La ONG especificó, a través de un comunicado, que todo está dispuesto para que los militares activos y la milicia bolivariana “movilizada”, participen en las elecciones primarias del PSUV, interviniendo así en la selección de candidatos a gobernadores y alcaldes del partido de gobierno, de cara a las elecciones regionales y municipales del 21 de noviembre próximo en Venezuela.

Para la organización, los efectivos militares deben quedar excluidos de la base de electores en las primarias del PSUV, pues al participar en las primarias convocadas por un partido político, “se colocan al servicio de una parcialidad, en este caso, sirviendo a candidatos del PSUV para ser escogidos como candidatos en las elecciones regionales y municipales, lo cual está prohibido expresamente por la Constitución”.
“La exigencia a la que tenemos derecho, de impedir que los militares activos voten en las primarias de los partidos políticos, debe abarcar a la milicia bolivariana “movilizada”, que pasa a ser considerada personal activo de la Fuerza Armada Nacional, de acuerdo al artículo 97 de la Ley Constitucional de la Fuerza Armada Nacional Bolivariana (2020)”, detalla el documento.
