Tres miembros funcionarios de la Universidad Nacional Experimental de la Seguridad, nucleo Zulia, fueron detenidos luego que se comprobara la trama corrupta y extorsiva que tenían dentro del centro de formación universitario aprovechándose su cargo estratégico en Control de Estudios.
Tras procesar la denuncia interpuesta por uno de los afectados que vivió en carne propia una extorsión en forma verbal y luego por mensajes de texto a través de la red Whatsapp, se procedió a la captura de los tres funcionarios que ahora se encuentran presos en la sede del Comando Nacional Antiextorsión y Secuestro (Conas), de manera in fraganti.
Los mismos quedaron identificados como licenciado Reinaldo Escobar, quien ostentaba el cargo de director de Control de Estudio; licenciada Nelitza Carolina Prieto Medina, asistente de dicha instancia administrativa así como el esposo de la misma, el oficial agregado Vinicio Javier Herrera Arrieta.
Luego de ser capturados se procedió a la verificación de números telefónicos que se habían obtenid0 en la denuncia y se comprobó su participación en los hechos acusados por un miembro del Comando Socialista Comunitario Pedro Camejo 200 del estado Zulia.
Los mismos quedaron a ordenes de la Fiscalía 12 quienes también conocían del caso.
