El Gobierno de Colombia informó este domingo que el país recibió un nuevo lote de 912 mil vacunas de la farmacéutica AstraZeneca adquiridas a través de mecanismo Covax.
Mediante la cuenta oficial de Twitter de la Presidencia de dicha nación, las autoridades aseguraron que estos preparados servirán para seguir avanzando en el Plan Nacional de Vacunación contra el COVID-19.
“Esta semana vamos a tener 1 millón de vacunas más de Sinovac y 549 mil vacunas del laboratorio Pfizer, que sumadas a las 912 mil que recibimos hoy, de AstraZeneca, sumarán más de 2 millones 400 mil dosis», destacó el Ministerio de Salud colombiano.
La cartera Salud aseveró que con la dotación de los fármacos de AstraZeneca se refuerza la visión multilateral de que «Covax puede marcar esa diferencia para el mundo entero en la provisión de vacunas».
