El Gobierno de Colombia autorizó la compra e importación de vacunas contra el coronavirus por parte de empresas y entidades privadas, informó este martes el presidente Iván Duque.
Según el mandatario, solamente se podrán adquirir vacunas que tengan la autorización sanitaria del Instituto Nacional de Vigilancia de Medicamentos y Alimentos (Invima) para uso de emergencia.
Además, la aplicación de las dosis deberá ser gratuita para las personas que tengan un vínculo laboral o contractual con las empresas y estas tendrán que cumplir los reglamentos del Plan Nacional de Vacunación.
“Deberá soportarse en una logística que esté debidamente presentada en términos de refrigeración y aplicación”, agregó Duque al asegurar que “la aplicación no podrá distraer recursos humanos” que hagan parte de la estrategia de inmunización del Gobierno.
“Se tendrá que fortalecer el recurso humano adicional con el cual se contará para la aplicación de esas vacunas, para que no choque con el personal que está en este momento adelantando el Plan Nacional de Vacunación”, aseguró.
La adquisición de las vacunas solo podrá hacerse a través de la casa matriz de la farmacéutica o de distribuidores autorizados por parte del Invima.
La aplicación de las vacunas que sean adquiridas por el sector privado, cuya fecha está por definir, iniciará una vez el Gobierno haya avanzado en la inmunización de los ciudadanos priorizados en la etapa tres.
Las empresas, eso sí, podrán iniciar la negociación con las farmacéuticas o distribuidores a partir de mañana.
De acuerdo con el decreto del Ministerio de Salud, los privados deberán asumir el costo de la compra e importación de los biológicos, así como el de la aplicación de las dosis.
Las empresas deberán garantizar el esquema completo en el caso de las vacunas que requieren más de una dosis y cumplir con los requisitos de distribución y aplicación en los departamentos.
“Debe hacerse una aplicación (de las vacunas) en una entidad de servicios de salud habilitada”, agregó el ministro de Salud, Fernando Ruiz.
Según el funcionario, las empresas no podrán excluir a ningún empleado, sino que el esquema “debe incluir a todo el personal que haga parte de dicha organización para preservar todas las condiciones de equidad en el acceso a la vacuna”.
Con el Plan Nacional de Vacunación Colombia prevé inmunizar este año a 35,2 millones de ciudadanos, equivalentes al 70 % de la población, para alcanzar la inmunidad de rebaño.
