Christina Aguilera lanza «La fuerza», primer disco en español en dos décadas

Christina Aguilera lanzó este viernes finalmente “La fuerza”, su primer disco en español desde que en el año 2000 editara “Mi reflejo”, su debut en este idioma, con el que atendía a sus raíces como hija de ecuatoriano.

El álbum, disponible ya en todas las plataformas digitales, es un EP de 6 canciones que incluye temas ya conocidos como la balada “Somos nada” o, sobre todo, “Pa mis muchachas” junto a las estrellas femeninas del urbano latino Nathy Peluso, Nicki Nicole y Becky G.

Al mismo género pertenece la canción “Santo”, de la que esta misma semana ofrecía un avance, y en la que incluye otra colaboración de altura con el artista puertorriqueño Ozuna.

Cabe destacar que la artista estadounidense se ha atrevido además con la ranchera, estilo al que pertenece su canción “La reina”, en la que realiza una réplica femenina al archiconocido clásico de José Alfredo Jiménez “El rey”, que fue muy popular igualmente en la versión de Vicente Fernández.

El grueso de la producción de “La Fuerza” ha recaído en los argentinos Rafa Arcaute y Federico Vindver. El primero, galardonado con un Grammy por el trabajo realizado en el disco de Calle 13 “Los de atrás vienen conmigo”, ha sido asimismo reconocido con 11 Latin Grammys y ha trabajado recientemente con artistas como la propia Nathy Peluso, Camilo o C. Tangana.

Grammy a la “artista revelación”, Aguilera (Nueva York, 1980) se dio a conocer siendo aún adolescente con el tema “Genie in a Bottle”, incluido en su debut homónimo de 1999. Después, con “Mi reflejo”, obtuvo una nominación a los Latin Grammys, otra a los Grammy y ganó dos Latin Billboards, entre otras distinciones.

En un giro más arriesgado, con “Stripped” (2002) y el álbum doble “Back to Basics” (2006) logró trascender la imagen de “Lolita” y hacerse acreedora de un mayor respeto como intérprete.

Posteriormente probó suerte en el mundo del cine con el papel protagonista del musical “Burlesque” junto a otra diva de la canción, Cher, antes del lanzamiento de “Bionic” (2010), que no obtuvo los parabienes de crítica y público.

Enfrascada sobre todo en su faceta televisiva como jurado de concursos de talentos, en la última década han escaseado sus lanzamientos discográficos, que aparte del citado “Liberation”, se limitaron a “Lotus” (2012) y no han obtenido tampoco los réditos comerciales de anteriores trabajos.

Está previsto que Aguilera ofrezca este verano dos conciertos en España, uno el 22 de junio dentro del Diversity Valencia Festival y otro el día 25 de junio como parte del Mallorca Live Festival.
