Debido a la pertinaz lluvia que cayó durante la tarde del miércoles sobre el litoral central, resultó oficialmente suspendido el encuentro que Cardenales de Lara y Bravos de Margarita debían realizar en el Fórum de La Guaira, ubicado en Macuto.
Jorge Terán, jefe de la cuarteta arbitral señalada para actuar en este desafío, luego de inspeccionar el terreno de juego, tomó la decisión conjuntamente con Carlos Mendoza y David Davalillo, respectivos pilotos de Cardenales y Bravos.
Los directivos de cada uno de los clubes se reunieron al conocer la decisión arbitral y decidieron jugar este postergado encuentro como parte de un doble cartel que comenzará en el mismo escenario entre Cardenales y Bravos el próximo martes, a partir de las 5:00 de la tarde. El desafío de este miércoles estaba pautado para cantar Play Ball a las 6:00 pm.
El departamento de prensa de Bravos, comunicó entrada la noche que el zurdo cubano Misael Siverio se mantiene como el abridor de los margariteños para el juego de mañana contra Caribes de Anzoátegui en el propio parque de Macuto.
Por su parte, Cardenales no realizó anuncio oficial. Pero es dable pensar que el derecho Néstor Molina, quien debió abrir este cotejo contra Bravos, haga lo propio este jueves frente a Leones del Caracas en el capitalino Parque Universitario.
