La candidata presidencial opositora, Xóchitl Gálvez, calificó este sábado como «ilegal» el apoyo de 110 dólares mensuales que el Gobierno de México da a migrantes venezolanos devueltos a su país bajo programas sociales, gracias a un acuerdo firmado con el presidente Nicolás Maduro.
«El presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador) piensa que él puede disponer del presupuesto público como ha dispuesto, y me parece que sí, es ilegal dar el apoyo a venezolanos. Maduro debería de ser la persona que les estuviera pagando a los venezolanos para regresar”, dijo la política previo a un evento en el sureño estado de Oaxaca.
Gálvez se pronunció así a las declaraciones de la canciller mexicana, Alicia Bárcena, que el jueves reveló que México firmó un convenio con Venezuela llamado ‘Vuelve a la patria’.

En dicho programa, y por órdenes de López Obrador, se le da a cada migrante que retorna a ese país un apoyo de los programas Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro, de aprendices profesionales, y Sembrando Vida, para campesinos.
Dicha ayuda se prolonga seis meses y se les otorga, más o menos, 110 dólares mensuales.
“Es que el presidente piensa que el dinero público sale de su bolsa”, criticó Gálvez.
Señaló que desde que llegó a la presidencia Hugo Chávez (1999-2013), y luego Maduro lo sucedió en 2013, han salido de Venezuela 7,8 millones de venezolanos.
“Eso es una tragedia humana. La gente va a buscar una oportunidad que no está encontrando en Venezuela”, dijo.
Lamentó que López Obrador apoye a Maduro, quien dijo, es un dictador y enfatizó que en México existe pobreza extrema por lo que “no estamos para regalar el dinero de los mexicanos con todo respeto para el presidente”, aseveró.
El acuerdo entre México y Venezuela ocurre ante el crecimiento de la migración irregular a través de México, que subió un 77,2 % en 2023 hasta superar las 782.000 personas, de las que el principal país de origen fue Venezuela, con casi 223.000, un alza anual de 131,81 %, según las estadísticas de la Unidad de Política Migratoria del Gobierno.
