Este miércoles 24 de marzo se realizó en Maracaibo el conversatorio «Venezuela crisis económica y humanitaria. ¿Cuáles son las soluciones? El cual contó con la participación del economista y exministro de Finanzas Rodrigo Cabezas.
Cabezas afirmó que la grave situación por la que atraviesa Venezuela económica, política y socialmente no mejorará mientras continúe Nicolás Maduro en el poder.
“La grave crisis macroeconómica que lleva ya siete años, lamentablemente va a tener en el 2021 su octavo año de recesión económica y el cuarto año de hiperinflación, lo que significa para los venezolanos un drama muy grande porque seguirá cayendo el salario real, el consumo, la desnutrición, el hambre”, afirmó Cabezas quien además expresó contundentemente que “no hay posibilidad de que la economía venezolana pueda recuperarse bajo el gobierno de Nicolás Maduro”.
A juicio del exministro, la solución a corto plazo es que haya un gobierno de unidad nacional capaz de ser amigable con la comunidad internacional, con el mercado financiero global, con el sector privado interno y externo, para solo entonces plantearse el crecimiento de la economía.
Visión optimista
Al consultarle al economista si es posible un gobierno de cambio y de transición para recuperar la economía, la respuesta fue positiva.
“Nunca podemos perder la esperanza, yo tengo la convicción profesional que desde la ciencia económica, hay la posibilidad de que tengamos un programa de recuperación de la economía, que sea gradual, que coloque en el centro el tema de la emergencia humanitaria, porque aquí hay desnutrición, hay hambre, hay deficiencias en la calidad del consumo, el salario esta pulverizado, pero necesitamos crecer, y para crecer necesitamos inversión, y para que haya un crecimiento sostenible, necesitas consumo, entonces son unos retos muy grandes, no será fácil, pero tampoco es imposible, porque tengo la convicción de que volviendo al mercado financiero global, tendremos una fuente de financiamiento importante como para programar el crecimiento y la recuperación de la economía, al lado del programa petrolero, que sin duda tendrá que hacerse, es decir, la crisis bajo el gobierno de Maduro continuaría, pero la solución es que el desenlace sea democrático y que nos permitan a los venezolanos, tener unas elecciones libres”.
