Las autoridades de Trinidad y Tobago confirmaron este miércoles que continúan la búsqueda de un barco desaparecido hace ya un semana que transportaba ilegalmente a varios venezolanos desde el país caribeño a Venezuela.
El barco, llamado Amiyah y cuya tripulación era de Trinidad y Tobago, partió de Puerto España con rumbo a la costa venezolana de Güiria y está desaparecido desde el pasado 23 de diciembre.
La guardia costera de Trinidad y Tobago informó que por el momento Amiyah no ha llegado a Venezuela y que tampoco ha habido avistamientos recientes del mismo.
Se cree que en la embarcación viajaban entre nueve y diez personas, entre ellas al menos un niño, y que hicieron una escala en la isla de Patos, de acuerdo a los datos facilitados por el gobernador de Sucre, Gilberto Pinto.
