Los buhoneros del casco central de Maracaibo este domingo instalaron nuevamente sus ventas en los espacios que hasta ayer estaban prohibido usar como medida de protección por el repunte de los casos de COVID-19 en las últimas semanas en Zulia. Pero a los vendedores se les olvidó llevar el tapabocas y hasta cumplir con el distanciamiento social.
En un recorrido de Foco Informativo se evidenció que los comerciantes incumplen con las normas de bioseguridad. La mayoría estaba sin tapabocas al momento de gritar las ofertas, de plátanos, verduras, frutas, víveres, y ropa, que tenían este domingo Día de las Madres
Este sábado, Francisco Urbina, Autoridad Única para la Administración, Conservación y Mantenimiento del Mercado de Minoristas Las Pulgas y del Casco Central de Maracaibo, informó que el mercado populoso mercado popular podría funcionar este sábado y domingo.
“De acuerdo a instrucciones del gobernador Omar Prieto el Casco Central y el Mercado Las Pulgas, tendrán actividades comerciales los días sábados y domingos”, señaló Urbina.
Urbina mencionó que era “obligatorio el cumplimiento de las normas de bioseguridad y protocolos de rigor”, y que las autoridades civiles y militares estarían presente para hacerlas cumplir, sin embargo, los comerciantes informales hicieron caso omiso a la medida.
Omar Prieto, gobernador de Zulia, indicó el 2 de mayo en su acostumbrado programa matutino, que por el incremento de casos de COVID-19 y el llamado que hizo el Ejecutivo nacional a la región el cierre del Mercado Las Pulgas, como medidas para prevenir la expansión del virus.
El mercado en 2020 fue el primer gran foco de contagio de coronavirus de Venezuela. Reabrió tres meses después el 25 de agosto solo para el comercio formal, pero los buhoneros siempre se la ingenian para volver a comercializar en el centro de la ciudad.
