De ser confirmadas por el Senado, Richardson y Van Ovost se convertirían en apenas la segunda y la tercera mujer que lideran un comando combatiente en la historia de Estados Unidos, después de la general retirada Lori Robinson, que dirigió el Comando Norte entre 2016 y 2018.
