La directiva del Banco Central de Venezuela (BCV) se reunió este jueves con representantes de la banca pública y privada del país para coordinar el proceso de reconversión monetaria, con la que se quitará seis ceros más al bolívar.
El presidente del Banco Central de Venezuela (BCV), Calixto Ortega Sánchez, indicó que la medida se ajusta a las necesidades de los usuarios al llevar los montos a una escala monetaria más sencilla, además de simplificar las operaciones bancarias.
En el encuentro participaron la Superintendencia de las Instituciones del Sector Bancario (Sudeban), el viceministerio de Economía Digital, Banca, Seguros y Valores y la Asociación Bancaria de Venezuela.
Asimismo, conversaron sobre el funcionamiento del bolívar digital que permitirá facilitar las transacciones cotidianas; conectar a la población con su signo monetario; agilizar el intercambio comercial y los procesos contables.
A partir de estas conversaciones, las entidades del sector bancario público y privado del país continuarán la adecuación de sus sistemas y plataformas tecnológicas en función de la nueva expresión monetaria.
En los próximos días, el BCV realizará reuniones técnicas con representantes de la banca, a fin de realizar los ajustes pertinentes previos a la entrada en vigencia de la medida.
