El artefacto explosivo -presunta granada fragmentaria- encontrado la madrugada del domingo en la plaza El Jobo, en El Callao, detonó la mañana de este lunes, 28 de febrero, luego que especialistas intentaron desactivarla.
Fuentes de El Callao aseguran a Soy Nueva Prensa Digital que no hubo heridos ni hechos que lamentar por la explosión, aunque igual se sigue esperando el parte oficial de las autoridades.
En la edición del domingo 27 de febrero, nuestro corresponsal en la zona sur informó que el hallazgo del artefacto generó zozobra en la población, sobre todo por la multitud de visitantes que aprovechan la fiesta del Carnaval para visitar el pueblo de El Callao.
El objeto fue encontrado en medio del concierto que ofrecía la agrupación The Same People.
A la plaza llegaron funcionarios de la Policía Estadal Bolivariana y Guardia Nacional Bolivariana. No descartan que esto sea con la finalidad de sabotear los carnavales.
