Reconoció que durante la operación Escudo Bolivariano que se mantiene en la frontera, la Fuerza Armada Nacional Bolivariana (FANB) actúa totalmente apegada a las leyes para neutralizar a los grupos irregulares, sin violar la soberanía de Colombia.
El parlamentario denunció que desde los acontecimientos en La Victoria se generó una campaña contra Venezuela en el ámbito nacional e internacional. “Se ha tratado de hacer creer que han emigrado desde La Victoria a Colombia 6 mil familias, pero esta región tiene solo 3 mil 500, de acuerdo al censo”.
Aseguró que en estos momentos el 70 por ciento de estas familias desplazadas ya han retornado al país y en la región el sector comercial se reactivó en 68%.
