La tarde de este 23 de marzo, bajo Acciones de Intervención Legal, una comisión mixta integrada por efectivos adscritos al Destacamento 114, GAES 11 Zulia y funcionarios del CICPC, gracias al trabajo de investigación y telefonía, practicaron la detención de dos sujetos, presuntamente involucrados en el cuádruple homicidio de la finca San Tomé, ubicada en el municipio La Cañada de Urdaneta.
La detención se generó en el sector Santa Ana, en la matera San Juan, ubicada especificamente en el kilómetro 48 del municipio antes mencionado.
Los detenidos responden a los nombres de: Jesús David Caícedo Carvajal y Alejandra Patricia Carvajal, ambos venezolanos e integrantes de la banda delincuencial, que según las investigaciones preliminares, están vinculados como colaboradores directo del grupo responsable de cuádruple asesinato ocurrido el pasado domingo 20 de marzo del presente año, en la finca San Tomé.
Los antisociales se dedicaban al suministro y ocultamiento de las armas de fuego y control del consumo de municiones. Así mismo en el lugar de los hechos se logró la incautación de tres armas tipo escopeta 12 y 5 cartuchos sin percutir del mismo calibre.
El caso fue puesto a la orden de la Fiscalía del Ministerio Público.
